Oh well!  Now from the "can you believe this" file.  Scientists actually have studied the "groundhog" phenomenon.  A couple of them believe that the groundhog is coming out of hibernation not to check the weather but to check to see if there are any groundhog babes kicking around.  He's trying to line up some dates for the mating season, nudge nudge wink wink.
